Clear thinking, intelligent voting requires research into the actions of our politicians, not just following what they say. This statement holds true more this year than any other. Barack Obama’s actions do not match his words. Going back to his years as a state Senator, followed by his select votes in the U.S. Senate, show his true nature, that of a far left Liberal. This statement is not meant as derogatory, it’s meant as a fact. Whether we look at his allies and their actions towards Israel, or we investigate Barack Obama’s votes on gun control or whether we go into his voting record on taxation, it’s clear that what he says today does not match what he’s done in the past. Everyone must understand that past action is the best determination of future activity. Take a look for yourself, understand what’s occurred and act on actions, not words.

Mr. Obama realizes now that he’s running a national campaign that he must have the Jewish vote so obfuscates his true nature. Mr. Obama states he is a strong proponent of Israel and he believes the country has a right of self defense. As a Jew I cannot understand how my people can even consider voting for Mr. Obama, let alone do so in such large numbers. As Mr. Obama has no real votes for or against Israel, Jews must look at the associations of Mr. Obama and not listen to his words. Early in his career, Mr. Obama joined a church lead by a former black Muslim who is a blatant anti-Israeli. When he moved to Chicago Obama joined a new church, one lead by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, a pastor that compares Israel to apartheid South Africa. This man was a close friend and mentor for Mr. Obama for 20 years. In addition, Louis Farrakhan, a notorious anti-Semite, is a strong proponent of Mr. Obama which should scare Jews off in entirety. Lastly, to list out a bunch of true data on this issue, I directly quote from the Jewish Task Force, Jews Against Obama:

·         Obama’s foreign policy advisors from the Carter Administration are notoriously anti-Israel and anti-Semitic.

·         A non-profit organization with Obama on its board gave money to the terrorist-supporting Arab American Action Network, which favors Israel's destruction and is completely against America enforcing any of her immigration laws.

·         Obama helped raise money for Muslim terrorist refugee camps in the Middle East.

·         Obama has been endorsed by communist Daniel Ortega (former head of the Weather Underground organization), communist Tom Hayden, Jesse Jackson, and Muslim racist and anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan.

·         Obama’s National Campaign Cochairman is congressman Jesse Jackson Jr., a notorious racist and anti-Semite.

·         Obama’s Pastor, who Obama claims is his mentor, traveled with Muslim racist and antisemite Louis Farrakhan to Libya in 1984 to visit Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi.

Actions, those by a person or people we associate with, matter. Everyone understands we must accept judgment based on that which our friends and allies do. I would not have success as a professional if I hung around gang bangers and drug dealers. Voters, especially Jews, must hold Barack Obama accountable for that which his mentors, advisors, and associates do.

Investigating Mr. Obama’s actions on gun control becomes difficult as he’s not actually done that much on this issue, there are a lot of words, but not a lot of action. With that said, recently Mr. Obama clearly stated that he supports the 2^nd Amendment. He went so far as to say that the founding fathers meant to grant an “individual right” to gun ownership. This statement placates the large gun ownership crowd in union households and others important voters in key swing states. Folks that listen to words now have a comfort level in voting for Obama. The truth in his actions; however, is a far cry from his words of late. Barack Obama voted against protecting gun manufacturers from litigation based off misuse of their products. In 2000, Mr. Obama voted to restrict gun purchases to one per month and he disagreed with the Bush administration allowing the 1994 gun ban to sunset. Lastly, and mot damning, is when Mr. Obama filled out a 1996 questionnaire he clearly indicated he would ban the manufacture, sale, and possession of handguns as well as ban assault weapons and create mandatory waiting periods and background checks. Investigating the few gun votes on Mr. Obama’s record, we must understand that his actions indicate a strong anti-gun bias.

Lastly we must look at how Obama votes on taxation. Before doing this; however, everyone must understand that Barack Obama outright lies when he says his tax plan will cut taxes for 95% of Americans. First, 40% of Americans don’t pay any Federal taxes so Mr. Obama cannot help them. Secondly, as Barack Obama wants the Bush tax cuts to expire, he will, in effect, raise taxes on anyone paying taxes. With that out of the way, let me clear up a misleading statement of the McCain camp – that statement that Mr. Obama voted 94 times to raise taxes. Truthfully, the number is 71, the other 23 times votes against tax cuts. Bottom line, Mr. Obama clearly votes for tax increases incessantly.

Talk is cheap; actions matter. Clearly Mr. Obama says one thing but his record shows the exact opposite. As voters we must act, not only on November 4^th when it matters, but in the days and weeks ahead of time. Don’t just read articles, investigate the truth. Look at different web sites, acquire information, choose issues that matter and vote, not on what the candidate says, but what the candidate and his associates do. If, at the end of your research you decide that gun control, a weak Israeli stance, and higher taxes are for you, vote for Barack Obama.

A fascinating fact about economics is that there are two sides to every action.  This holds true whether an individual believes the Government should take care of the populace or if a person thinks the Government should stay out of individual lives.  Barrack Obama must understand that no matter what policy he pursues, negative effects abound.  The fact that Obama does not share these obvious facts underscores the dishonesty of his economic policies.  Obama holds that he will: create five million green collar jobs, increase the minimum wage to $9.50, and raise taxes on capital gains and dividends.  On the surface these features will appeal to many citizens, at least those folks that do not understand economics.  We all must pay attention to truth and know what Mr. Obama’s policies truly mean for our economy. 

Green collar jobs appear to be a euphemism for employment working with “environmentally friendly” companies.  Barrack Obama plays to the heart of voters that see our environment as a fragile shell that currently teeters on the brink of devastation.  With that said, it’s hard to argue that there’s little harm in changing the way we utilize energy and do so with a more responsible attitude.  Green collar jobs are a good idea.  Let’s work with wind, solar, and even nuclear; there’s much more upside than downside with this belief.  The piece of this that belies the dishonesty is the lost jobs in the existing energy economy.  Where Obama’s policies may create five million jobs, and I don’t challenge the number, it’s important to know that the equal number of jobs created in the green collar must, by definition, come from the, existing oil industry  For folks that repair gasoline powered vehicles or drill for oil in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Oklahoma or employees that work for local power companies where the power comes from coal, oil, or gasoline, they won’t have jobs any longer.  When wind, solar, and nuclear plants need workers, they will come from the existing work force.  There is no economic possibility that five million net new jobs will come from green companies during Obama’s term.  Obama has a good idea with creating green collar jobs, it’s just that most won’t be net new jobs, they will be job transfers.

When it comes to minimum wage, a topic extremely misunderstood, Obama plays to emotions rather than economics.  First, let’s be clear, the vast majority of employees making minimum wage are either full-time students or retirees.  With that said, Economics 101, supply and demand, dictates, by definition, that when minimum wages go up, employment goes down.  A simple example: a small business that has an annual budget of $200,000 for salary can employ seventeen employees full time at $5.85 per hour, but only eleven employees at Obama’s minimum wage of $9.50.  To offset these six newly unemployed workers, Obama tells this small business owner that they will receive tax credits for health care.  Tax credits for health care are mutually exclusive from changing the minimum wage.  The tax credits don’t come close to compensating for the reduced work force nor does it compensate for the lost revenue businesses will face due to the fact that they now cannot deliver the goods or services they once produced with nearly 50% more employees.  One other feature of increasing the cost of labor is the cost of goods.  If minimum wage goes up, and a company can’t afford to lose staff, they must raise their prices.  No matter what happens in this scenario, the consumer suffers.  Raising minimum wage costs jobs and health care tax credits cannot do anything to mitigate this fact.

The other major pillar of Barrack Obama’s economic policy states that he will raise taxes on dividends and capital gains.  He also states that he will “only” raise taxes on families making over $250,000 per year and individuals making $200,000 per year.  When the average person hears about dividends and capital gains they inherently think of rich people and everyone knows it’s okay to tax the rich.  In truth, over 50% of Americans own stocks and everyone of these people will get hit by Obama’s policies. Obama’s tax policy, in reality, will raise taxes on the majority of people in the country.  This fact should not only disturb based off the lack of honesty, but because taxation on capital creation (dividends and capital gains) reduces overall economic growth.  When the government takes money from wealth creation there is nothing for investment which will take away from job growth, innovation, and overall economic expansion.  One last example, if a small business receives $100,000 in dividends they could invest that money in research and development leading to hiring new employees or delivering a new product; if the government, under Obama, taxes that capital at 25%, there’s now $25,000 less for reinvestment in to the business.  This policy fundamentally means that the government will take money from a business intent on growing and give it away as the government sees fit.  Taxing dividends and capital gains impacts everyone and, in the end, harms economic prosperity.

When discussing economics one can never be right, unless they employ true honesty.  The saying about every coin has two sides perfectly explains the study of money and wealth; and it’s all too clear that Mr. Obama hides with great care the devastating drawbacks to his key economic policies.  Know before voting that there cannot be five million net new jobs due to environmental policy, that increasing minimum wage will increase unemployment, and that taxation on capital gains and dividends will impact nearly all Americans causing harm the underlying economy.  While understanding economics must be a top priority for our leaders, know what there policies truly mean before voting in November.

It’s already begun, the excuses from the shrill left for yet another loss. Those that don’t vote for Obama are stupid racists! Folks that either can’t stand seeing a black man succeed or people too stupid to understand that Obama and the left know best. It’s pretty clear that so long as the Democratic party misunderstands their opponent, they will never win the Presidency. The left must figure out that those who vote against Obama do so because of his policies, his allies, and his background.

Barrack Obama, like his predecessors for the past two elections, comes from the far left of the political spectrum. All candidates believe the purpose of Government is to care for the people. To take from one class and give to another. These politicians believe in extremes, abortion in the birth canal, absolutely no private funding for education or retirement, and a complete ban on guns. Most Americans believe in a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Polls clearly show that the plurality of citizens are okay with abortion until the fetus is viable but after that they should receive the same treatment as citizens outside the womb. These polls also clearly state that the plurality of voters want control over their children’s education and their retirement. The vast majority of people even believe it’s not only a constitutional right, but a G-d given right, to own guns for self defense. The Democratic party will lose, yet again, because they nominated another candidate who votes at the far edge of the political spectrum.

This year, unlike the past two elections, the chasm between the left and right grows larger due to two additional facets of the candidate. The first involves political confidantes and mentors. To say that the people who shaped Barrack Obama are left does not do justice to their political beliefs; these folks are out and out Socialists. Rather than go in to all of the relationships, as this article has neither the space nor time, let me mention just two, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers. As has been documented clearly, Jeremiah Wright is an anti-white, anti-American, anti-Jewish preacher in the same guise as Louis Farrakhan. All folks have a right to their own opinions and beliefs but when a person as vile as this has had a major role in the shaping of a presidential candidate, Americans must be extremely careful who to vote for. The Reverend preached to Barrack Obama twice a week for twenty years, he wed Barrack and Michelle, and baptized both of Obama’s Children. No one, with a straight face, can say this man did not have a major influence in the political and social beliefs of Obama. The second, a business partner, William Ayers, the man at whose house Barrack Obama launched his Illinois Senate race, bombed the US Capital in the 1960’s. This criminal never served time for a crime he freely admits to due to prosecutorial misconduct. William Ayers, to this day, states he did not do enough to fight the US Government. Neither ignorance nor racism leads folks to vote against Obama due to the company he keeps, honorable justification does.

To put the Democratic party even in more jeopardy for winning the White House, they nominated a candidate with extremely little experience. Experience does not matter to many; however, people need to know he has no executive experience, only a handful of years as a Senator in Illinois, and virtually no experience at the national level. Senators have a voice, a vote, they do not make the ultimate decision and almost never face accountability for their actions. As an Illinois Senator, all too often Mr. Obama could not make even choose which way to vote; over 125 times in his tenure he simply voted “present.” One may postulate he did so for fear that taking a stand, like his vote on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, would come back and show his extreme positions. On experience, no one can, with a straight face, say that Barrack Obama has four years experience in the US Senate, he’s run for the Presidency the entire time. Rather than admit these short comings, the shrill left just states only a racist fool would care about experience. 

Just cause exists to vote against Barrack Obama. A vote against Obama does not point to stupidity or racism. A vote against Obama shows knowledge of the situation and strength to buck inevitable accusations from the shrill left. It’s just common sense that an intelligent voter who judges a man by the content of his character, and not the color of his skin, must vote against Barrack Obama.
